The Jalan Duta Court Complex has been sealed off by the police soon after receiving a call from an unidentified man claiming that a bomb has been placed at the court.
The anonymous call was made to the Taman Tun Dr. Ismail police station at about 11am.
You may be acquainted with the fact that the SRC trial has been taking place at this court and the bomb-threat has disrupted Datuk Seri Najib Razak’s corruption trial over RM42 million of the SRC International funds.
Several official cars were seen leaving the complex, believed to be ferrying judges out of the vicinity.
Najib Razak was also seen leaving the compound at about 12.35pm.
Sentul police chief Assistant Commissioner S. Shanmugamoorthy said that the Bomb Disposal Unit and other experts are currently searching and inspecting the court thoroughly.
About 100 people are assembled outside the court complex’s lobby. The main entrance to the building has been sealed-off with yellow tape.
The current disruption to Najib Razak’s trial came after a previous adjournment triggered by one of Najib’s lawyers, co-counsel Harvinderjit Singh, who called-in sick.
